Engineer 3, Manufacturing Development
Location: NY, Clarence - Greatbatch Medical Number Needed: 1 Description Greatbatch Medical has an opportunity in the Product Development department of the Cardiac & Neurology business.The primary purpose of this position is todesignand develop fixturing, tooling, and equipment for the manufacture of capacitors for use in implantable cardiac defibrillators. Essential Job Functions: · Designs fixtures and tooling using 3D CAD software, focusing on ergonomics, manufacturability, and process capability. · Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. · Interfaces with machine shops to communicate requirements and review received tooling fixtures. · Oversees tool and process qualifications in a production environment. · Writes technical reports detailing engineering analysis and experimental results.
Qualifications: · Education: 4-year degree in a technical/related field · Experience: 0-2 years experience · Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: Computer skills, including CAD, Word and Excel; problem solving skills · Special skills: Strong written and oral communication skills;ability to work in a team environment
