Location: NY, Clarence - Greatbatch Medical Number Needed: 1 Description Greatbatch Medical has an opportunity in the Product Development department of the Cardiac & Neurology business.The primary purpose of this position is to design and develop capacitors for use in implantable cardiac defibrillators. Essential Job Functions: · Designs components and assemblies using 3D CAD software. · Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. · Designs and oversees experiments to assess design options. · Searches for new raw material sources and perform experiments to assess such sources · Writes technical reports detailing engineering analysis and experimental results. · Searches databases to find and extract and evaluate historical performance information.
Qualifications: · Education: 4-year degree in a technical/related field · Experience: 0-2 years experience · Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: Computer skills, including CAD, Word and Excel; problem solving skills · Special skills: Strong written and oral communication skills;ability to work in a team environment
