Location: IN, Columbia City - Greatbatch Medical Number Needed: 1 Description
1. Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
2. Manages highly complex technical projects coordinating internal and external resources/vendors to meet project requirements within designated timeframe.
3. Develops specifications and researches sources for equipment/components to meet customer requirements.
4. Sets up and runs experiments and/or test apparatus.
5. Designs, recommends, assembles, and installs equipment/apparatus and processes for complex product fabrication, research and development or analysis and testing.
6. Writes instructions and trains personnel in proper techniques to utilize systems, equipment, and processes.
7. Performs complex troubleshooting; repairs, modifies, and maintains systems and/or equipment.
8. Analyzes data, evaluates systems and processes, and makes decisions regarding modifications, if necessary.
9. Writes complex technical reports and other required documentation.
10. Interacts with and advises other departments. 1
1. Assigns or coordinates tasks of other technicians within group. 1
2. Mentors other department technicians. 1
3. Performs other functions as required. POSITION
Qualifications: To perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:
1. Education (Minimum Needed): Four-year technical degree preferred with a minimum eight years of experience in technical position at GB, or two-year technical degree with at least ten years at GB in a technical position
2. Experience (Minimum Needed): ): Four-year technical degree preferred with a minimum eight years of experience in technical position at GB, or two-year technical degree with at least ten years at GB in a technical position
3. Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Ability to read and develop technical drawings/prints; Excellent technical writing skills; Computer operation skills; Strong mechanical aptitude
4. Special Skills: Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
