Description
Greatbatch Medical has an opportunity in the Supply Chain Center of Excellence. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, monitor and ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials and the efficient delivery of finished products to customers. Develops schedules to ensure projects and development objectives are met for Product Development procurement and the Supply Chain Center of Excellence.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
&middot;    Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
&middot;    Monitors customer orders in process and initiates the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules; Serves as customer service liaison.
<br />* Coordinates material requirements and procures material in a timely and economic manner.
<br />* Maintains purchasing and master scheduling systems; Assures system maintenance. 
<br />* Identifies and recommends improvements to current systems to provide timely information to management.
<br />* Interfaces and coordinates between manufacturing, procurement, engineering, finance and suppliers regarding component and schedule requirements and changes.
<br />* Interprets, defines and communicates material requirements to suppliers.
<br />* Participates in cost reduction, process improvement and quality improvement teams.
<br />* Anticipates and communicates current and potential problems and opportunities with the procurement of materials so the management team can make appropriate decisions.
<br />* Coordinates material requirements with Material Control and procures material in a timely and economic manner.
<br />* Routinely interacts with Information Technology Department on system and process improvements.
<br />* Performs other functions as required.
Position <br><br><b>Requirements:</b>
<br />* Education: Four year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
<br />* Experience: 3-5 years of experience.
<br />* Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: APICS certification and CPIM a plus; Working knowledge of ERP systems. 
<br />* Special Skills: Demonstrated ability to work in and foster a team based environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong technical knowledge of various manufacturing processes and the ability to read and understand technical drawings.]]></description>
