Description
Primary Purpose:The primary purpose of this position is to define, develop and manage all aspects of sales for GB products within specific developmental market segments. Responsible for sales generation both direct and through representative network management that meets or exceeds stated profitability and revenue requirements through the effective development and implementation of sales strategies, and programs.
<br />* 
Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
<br />* 
Establishes detailed and accurate program targets and provides the leadership and organization necessary to successfully develop programs.
<br />* Directs the entire Sales process within assigned and developing markets.
<br />* Provides technical sales support (including the preparation of proposals and quotations) for all existing international and domestic accounts and new customers within the assigned developmental market segment(s), Commercial Value-Added Re-sellers (VARs), and Independent Representatives, if appropriate.
<br />* Provides training and support for all VARs and Independent Representatives within assigned market and/or region, if appropriate.
<br />* Identifies, researches, and evaluates business opportunities in existing and emerging markets. This activity will require interacting with the assigned Marketing Manager.
<br />* Provides customer based application engineering so as to meet all customer requirements.
<br />* Enhances technical knowledge and applications engineering skills through technical field contacts, professional organizations, scientific/engineering publications, and GB technical resources.
<br />* Supports preparation of customer business proposals; provides analysis and recommendations for contracts and pricing agreements.
<br />* Prepares annual and monthly sales forecasts for product sold to assigned market segment(s) including domestic and international distribution channels.
<br />* Proposes standard list pricing schedules for commercial products and participates in development and management of departmental budgets.
<br />* Develops annual strategic plans and analyzes sales, customer, competitive, and data relative to market responsibilities and implements strategy modifications when needed.
<br />* Represents GB at Industry Trade Shows and Technical Conferences/Meetings.
<br />* Performs other functions as required.
Position <br><br><b>Qualifications:</b> 
<br />* Education (Minimum Needed): Four year degree in engineering; MBA preferred
<br />* Experience (Minimum Needed): 8-10 years experience in technical sales and marketing; 3 years experience managing independent representative organizations.
<br />* Specialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of the Job: Working knowledge of electronics engineering and development concepts, excellent presentation and negotiation skills required.
<br />* Special Skills:Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
