Greatbatch Medical, located inClarence, NY, is seeking a Product Line Manager for the Cardiac &amp; Neurology business. The primary purpose of this position is todrive profitable growth for the implantable power line of products. Refines and drives the product strategy for implantable power products including product and technology marketing, market research, proposal development, product and technology roadmap management, development of strategic pricing and product portfolio management. 
Essential Job Functions:

<br />* 
Ensures all current and prospective customer requirements are met from new product concept to development and throughout the sale. 
<br />* Develops market opportunities and ensures appropriate product portfolio to achieve growth and profitability targets. 
<br />* Ensures timely response to customer inquiries, facilitating cross-organization communication, promotion/education of the value proposition for Greatbatch implantable power technologies and performing opportunity analysis (both qualitative and quantitative). 
<br />* Supports preparation of advertising, trade shows and clinical advisory meetings as required.
<br />* Supports sales team and works with departments and business units within the company to ensure company financial objectives are met; participates in development and management of departmental budgets. 
<br />* Researches and evaluates business opportunities in existing and emerging markets for assigned product lines.
<br />* Performs other functions as necessary. 

Position Qualifications : 
<br />* 
Education:Education (Minimum Needed): 4-Year Technical Degree in Related Field; MBA Desirable
<br />* 
Experience: Minimum of 5-7years in medical marketing or technical industries.

Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: Working knowledge of engineering and medical product marketing.

Primary Objectives:
The role of the Sr. Outside Sales Representative is to manage the full life-cycle of the sales process for Electrochem products within an assigned market segment. The Sr. Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for improving existing and developing new business relationships. Additional responsibilities include:
<br />* Attain revenue goals and increase sales within Electrochem.
<br />* Partnering with assigned Marketing Manager to identify, research, and evaluate business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
<br />* Establishes detailed and accurate program targets and provides the leadership and organization necessary to successfully develop programs.
<br />* Provides training and support for all VARs and Independent Representatives within assigned market and/or region, if appropriate.
<br />* Preparing annual and monthly sales forecasts for product sold to assigned market segment(s) including domestic and international distribution channels.
<br />* Supports preparation of customer business proposals; provides analysis and recommendations for contracts and pricing agreements.
<br />* Represents Electrochem at industry trade shows, technical conferences and meetings.

<br><br><b>Qualifications:</b> 
<br />* Education:Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; MBA preferred
<br />* Experience: Eight years (minimum) of client development outside sales experience within one of the following industries: battery, electronics, energy, sensors. Experience with selling custom designed or configured technical products is required.

Interface with Oracle subject matter experts to understand new and existing functionality. The candidate will be subject expert on Mercury Interactive Testing Tools including, Test Director, Quick Test Pro and Load Runner.

Primary Purpose: 
The primary purpose of this position isto lead cross-functional teams through the implementation of the lean toolset; cellular flow, value stream mapping, line balancing, standard work, 5S, material and information flow, total productive maintenance, and quick change over. The Lean Engineer will also; conduct time studies of particular work/production areas looking for opportunities to improve productivity and eliminate waste, facilitate kaizen events, cost new models, and educate and mentor associates new to the lean processes. 



This individual will work closely with department managers within the business unit to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and workflow within the departments. Candidate requires strong oral and communication skills as it is necessary to present training to all levels and regular updates to the Plant Leadership Team.




&middot;    Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in related field. Engineering or Business preferred.
&middot;    Experience: 3-5 years of related experience.
&middot;    Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: Computer skills as required by stated accountabilities. Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.
